Iain joined SmartestEnergy in 2008, and has been Generation Sales Manager since 2012. He is responsible for leading the Generation Sales team of Business Development Managers, dealing with power purchase customers and stakeholders, and also manages the Glasgow office.
Having joined the Scottish Renewables Board of Directors in 2014, Iain has extensive previous experience in the Scottish energy market, having spent six years with ScottishPower in functions including Energy Trading, Technical Services and Metering Services. He has a BEng (Hons) in Environmental Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Systems & the Environment from the University of Strathclyde.
Stephen joined SmartestEnergy in August 2011 from ScottishPower where he was a Senior Account Manager in the utility’s metering business. Prior to that he had been a Services Engineer responsible for running ScottishPower’s meter operator division. Stephen also held roles including Electrical Inspector, Metering Services Engineer and Electrical Engineer with the group.
He began his career as an apprentice electrician with the former railway engineering company Norbrit-Pickering.
Matt Neve joined SmartestEnergy in 2008 and has been in his current role as Business Development Manager in the Generation Sales team since 2010. In this role, Matt works closely with generation customers across Great Britain, negotiating and structuring Power Purchase Agreements to help them maximise the return on their projects.
Prior to joining SmartestEnergy, Matt was part of the B2B Industrial & Commercial Sales Team working in Commercial Pricing and Account Management at E.ON Energy.
Richard joined SmartestEnergy in 2012 as a Business Development Manager for Generation Sales. In his role Richard is responsible for negotiating standard and complex Power Purchase Agreements to help maximise the return on their projects.
He has over 12 years industry experience, including 10 years at Npower, predominantly in Industrial and Commercial Markets with significant exposure to both Generation and Retail.
Angus joined SmartestEnergy in October 2014 as an Account Manager for the Generation Sales team. In this role, Angus is responsible for managing and retaining customers in SmartestEnergy’s generation portfolio.
Prior to joining SmartestEnergy, Angus spent four years in Business Development at The Greenspan Agency, developing and operating an extensive range of wind turbines, hydro schemes and biogas plants from 100kW – 10MW, across the UK.
