Role:

Reporting to the Head of Risk Transformation, the role will lead the business analysis and implementation of the Risk transformation requirements through consistent solutions supported by SmartestEnergy’s wider architecture technology.


   

How will I spend my time in this role? 

  • Develop and lead the implementation of Risk transformation management strategies.
  • Supervise the gathering and documentation of detailed user requirement specifications through data analysis of the existing Risk capabilities as outlined in the working packages.
  • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to the wider business standards.
  • Build on the analysis, to recommend solutions and technologies to address the transformation needs within the project timeline.
  • Implement solutions for the identified quick wins with standard templates that provide a foundational platform for a scalable strategic solution.
  • Co-ordinate with stakeholders at all levels across the business to continually review and when necessary, prioritize the requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to plan the business readiness for changes to processes and the implementation of any new platforms (testing, quality assurance and user acceptance testing).
  • Deliver training and support across the Risk group as required.



 

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

  • At least 5 years in the energy sector with experience in producing functional analyses for Trading Operations.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar Business Analyst role with direct exposure to ETRM processes.
  • Applied technical understanding of new data centric solutions based on Power BI, Python, Azure and SQL.
  • Strong analytical and structured way of thinking, high organizational skills and IT affinity
  • Experience sharing ideas and best practice to Risk policies, framework and reporting metrics.

Hybrid working typically means 2 days in the office location listed on this advert and 3 days working at home each week. Some occasional travel to our other offices may be required.
