Overview
The principal role of the Sales Operations Associate to create and update opportunities for new and existing customers from our channel partners. Deal entry is the first step in our customer journey and the timeliness and accuracy this function is vital to our sales process. This role is a hybrid position and will require the selected candidate to work 1-3 days per week in the Syracuse, NY office.
In this role, you will be involved with the following:
- Creating new sales opportunities in CRM platform
- Maintaining a high level of timeliness and accuracy with deal entry
- Creating additional opportunities based on product selection
- Updating customer and deal information for existing opportunities
- Validating utility account information based on reference documents
- Understanding utility switching rules to ensure start dates can be met
- Reviewing exception queue to make corrections to opportunities
- Communicate & collaborate with internal teams and external customers
To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:
- Previous experience with Data Entry
- MS Office, Outlook, Internet
- Previous experience using a CRM system i.e. Salesforce
- Ability to work effectively as part of a cohesive team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills ·
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and prioritize work
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Ability to proactively problem solve
- Previous knowledge of the Electricity and/or Energy Industry a plus
