RenewableUK’s Offshore Wind EnergyPulse Insights report shows the UK currently has a pipeline of 96GW across 123 projects.
China remains the global leader with a pipeline of 247GW across 437 projects. The US is third with 79GW, Germany fourth (68GW) and Sweden fifth (55GW):
The report also shows the global capacity of fully operational offshore wind farms has now reached 80.9GW, up from 70.2GW twelve months ago, an increase of 15%. Some 63% of the new offshore wind capacity was in China and the Netherlands.
