Your route to market with a CfD PPA
Following the announcement of the latest Contract for Difference auction allocation results, all projects awarded with a CfD contract take a Final Investment Decision, deciding whether or not they would like to go ahead.
From then, development is underway as generators finalise procurement and construction plans to meet their Delivery Year and look for a viable route to market, which is where SmartestEnergy comes in as a reliable CfD PPA partner.
Our Contracts for Difference Power Purchase Agreements (CfD PPAs) align with the commercial terms of your CfD commitment, providing you with a viable route to market and a bankable partner.
Any generation projects over 5MW can secure a CfD contract through the government’s incentivisation scheme. With a flexible framework, we can support the project’s transition from the Commercial Operations Date of the CfD contract through to the CfD Commencement date, and we'll pay you at a market price that matches your CfD contract for up to a 15-year period.
